Applications Are Now Being Accepted
The City of San Fernando is accepting applications for its Home
Rehabilitation Program. The Program offers up to $50,000 in loan
funds to assist low-income residents with home improvements.
Depending on income level, loans are financed at a zero to three
percent interest rate with a deferred or 15-year repayment period.

Repairs that are eligible under the Home Rehabilitation Program
include:
- Fixing or repairing sanitary water and waste disposal systems.
- Energy
saving measures such as attic insulation, and insulated windows
and doors.
- Heating system repairs or replacement.
- Electrical wiring
repairs or updates to a wiring system.
- Correcting structural
or foundation supports.
- Roof repairs or replacement.
- Modifications that promote
handicap accessibility.
- Termite work.
- Stucco and siding repair.
Applicants must own and live in the home to be rehabilitated.
City staff will perform an on-site survey of the property to be improved,
and will work with the applicant to determine what repairs need to be addressed before issuing loan funds.
Applicants must also be income eligible to participate in the program.
